Characterizing atrazine, mesosulfuron‐methyl, and topramezone bioavailability in North Carolina soils using greenhouse bioassays

Herbicide carryover injury to rotational crops can vary in severity depending on the influence of soil properties herbicide bioavailability. Greenhouse bioassays were conducted with soybean, radish, and canola evaluate differences bioavailability three herbicides risk, atrazine, mesosulfuron-methyl, topramezone. Bioassays varying regional types nine treatment rates including a control. Plant visual was evaluated weekly, aboveground dry biomass weighed after harvest soybean 28 days emergence (DAE) radish 21 DAE. A log-logistic dose–response regression model used quantify herbicide-effective concentrations for 30% (EC30), 50% (EC50), 80% (EC80) reduction each type.
